A Little Bit About Mrs. Wieman |
|
Hi there! My name is Kirsten Wieman. I was born
on October 4th. It was a joyous
day in Vermillion, SD where I was born and raised.
I grew up in a family of five. My dad, Bob, and my mom, Linda, live in Vermillion. My older brother Mark is
married to Kristin. They have three children. Tyler is 8 and
will be in second grade this year. Tessa and Tanner are twins and will
turn three in September. Mark and his family live in LeMars, IA.
My younger brother Cullen graduated from USD with business degree, but
decided to go back to school to follow in the footsteps of his older brother
and sister. He started his 4th year teaching and coaching in
Wagner, SD. Cullen is
getting married this fall to Vanessa. My husband,
Ryan, and I have two active little boys, Landon and Caleb. They make
me smile and laugh each day! We live in Marion,
SD where Ryan works with his family at
Wieman Land and Auction.
While attending Vermillion Public Schools, I participated in basketball, volleyball and track, as well as academic activities. After high school graduation, I attended Northern State University for two years. I played basketball and ran track for the NSU Wolves. After two years at NSU, I transferred to The University of South Dakota. In May 0f 2000, I graduated with honors receiving an elementary education degree. Upon graduation, I decided to enter the Professional Development Center's (PDC) program to complete my master's degree. I earned my master's degree in curriculum and instruction in August of 2001. I was a teacher and a coach in the Canton Public School System for four years before coming to Freeman Public Schools. I'm starting my 7th year teaching in Freeman and my 12th year teaching overall. I love teaching 3rd grade! When I'm not teaching, I love to play and watch sports, take pictures, scrapbook, and bake. I also love spending time with my family and my friends (even though it's tough to get together at times.) |
